Explanation

Total tickets sold = 420420.

Half of these tickets were sold at Rs. 55 each: Number of tickets sold at Rs. 5=420/2=2105 = 420 / 2 = 210. Amount received = 210×5210 \times 5 = Rs. 1,0501,050.

One-third of the tickets were sold at Rs. 33 each: Number of tickets sold at Rs. 3=420/3=1403 = 420 / 3 = 140. Amount received = 140×3140 \times 3 = Rs. 420420.

The rest of the tickets were sold at Rs. 22 each: Number of tickets sold at Rs. 2=420210140=702 = 420 - 210 - 140 = 70. Amount received = 70×270 \times 2 = Rs. 140140.

Total amount received = Rs. 1,0501,050 + Rs. 420420 + Rs. 140140 = Rs. 1,6101,610.
