Select an option to attempt

Explanation

Let the cost of article Q be ₹ xx.

  1. Since R costs 20% more than Q:

    • Cost of R = x+0.2x=1.2xx + 0.2x = 1.2x
  2. P costs 25% more than R:

    • Cost of P = 1.2x+0.25(1.2x)=1.5x1.2x + 0.25(1.2x) = 1.5x
  3. Total cost of P, Q, and R is ₹ 3,330:

    • x+1.2x+1.5x=3330x + 1.2x + 1.5x = 3330
    • 3.7x=33303.7x = 3330
    • x=33303.7=900x = \frac{3330}{3.7} = 900
  4. Cost of P = 1.5×9001.5 \times 900 = ₹ 1,350.

Answer: D. ₹ 1,350
