Seeta and Geeta go for a swim after a gap of every 2 days and every 3 days respectively. If on 1st January both of them went for a swim together, when will they go together next?

Explanation

The LCM of 2 and 3 is 6 (as calculated before). Since they swam together on 1st January, we add the LCM (6 days) repeatedly to find the next date they will both swim together.

So, they swam together on 1st January, then: 6th January (Seeta swims, Geeta doesn't) 12th January (Seeta swims, Geeta doesn't) 13th January (both swim together again).

They will swim together again on 13th January.
