UPSC Civil Services Mains Admit Card 2025 Released - Download Now

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services Mains Examination 2025 admit card on its official website. You can download the official hall tickets from the official UPSC websites - upsc.gov.in, upsconline.gov.in, and upsconline.nic.in.

The Civil Services Main Examination is scheduled from 22nd to 31st August 2025. The exam will be conducted in two sessions: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The UPSC CSE Mains admit card is your official proof of identity and permission to appear for the exam. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. You Must Carry:

• A printed copy of your e-Admit Card.
• The original photo ID whose number appears on your admit card.

Follow these steps to access and download your hall ticket:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
2. Find the Admit Card Link: On the homepage, look for “UPSC CSE Mains 2025 Admit Card” and click on it.
3. Enter Your Details: Provide your registration number and date of birth (as per your application form).
4. Submit to View Admit Card: After entering the details, click Submit to display your admit card.
5. Download and Print: Save a PDF copy and print at least two clear copies—one for the exam day and one as backup.
6. Keep It Safe: Store the printed copy securely until the exam process is over.

Important Note – Check Your Admit Card Carefully

Accuracy is key. Once you download your admit card, go through every detail carefully. If you spot any spelling mistakes, wrong information, or a mismatch in your identity details, contact UPSC immediately. Fixing issues early will save you from last-minute problems that could affect your exam day.

Before you head to the exam centre, it’s important to know what you cannot carry inside.

UPSC follows a zero-tolerance policy for prohibited items inside the examination venue. Carrying any of these will lead to immediate disqualification:

• Bags, luggage, or valuables
• Mobile phones, smart/digital watches, or any electronic gadgets
• Books, notebooks, or written materials

Important:

• The Venue Supervisor will not provide any storage facility.
• UPSC will not be responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
• If you bring such items near the venue, arrange your safe storage beforehand.

The UPSC Mains is a test of knowledge, composure, time management, and exam temperament. As you step into the examination hall from 22nd August 2025, keep these last-mile tips in mind to perform at your best:

1. Plan Your Day Beforehand

• Reach the exam centre at least 45–60 minutes early to avoid last-minute stress.
• Keep your route and travel time in mind; factor in possible traffic delays.

2. Carry the Essentials

• Admit Card and Valid Photo ID are mandatory – keep them in a clear folder.
• Bring ballpoint pens, a spare pen, and a simple analog watch (no smartwatches).
• Keep a small bottle of water and any permitted snacks (chocolate or energy bar) for quick energy during breaks.

3. Time Management During the Paper

• Read all questions carefully before attempting.
• Allocate time proportionately – roughly 7 minutes per 10-mark question and 11–12 minutes for 15-mark questions.
• Avoid overwriting; concise, well-structured answers fetch better marks.

4. Presentation Matters

• Use headings, subheadings, bullet points, and diagrams wherever relevant.
• Keep your handwriting legible throughout; don’t let it deteriorate under pressure.

5. Stay Calm and Focused

• Don’t panic if you find a difficult question – attempt the rest first.
• Take deep breaths before starting each paper to maintain composure

6. Between the Two Shifts

• Use the lunch break wisely – have a light meal, hydrate, and avoid discussing the morning paper.
• Refresh your mind for the next subject instead of cramming last-minute notes.

7. Post-Exam Routine

• Once a day’s papers are done, rest well and get adequate sleep.
• Quickly revise for the next day’s subjects in the evening without overburdening yourself.
