The Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme aims to enhance vocational training quality.

The scheme comprises two components: upgrading 1,000 Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in a Hub and Spoke model and augmenting five National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs).
Six Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana have been approved by the National Steering Committee (NSC).
The scheme is proposed to be implemented in a phased manner over five years.
