The advent of frontier AI models has potential to unlock the latent AI usage; however unless AI is commoditised as DPI, aim of affordable, accessible & inclusive AI domain will be far fetched.

AI as DPI
1) Use of AI facial recognition tools in Aadhar enabled & biometric service delivery (Financial inclusion)
2) Use of AI in banking systems & UPI stack will help to avert frauds & streamline payment gateways
3) AI helps in maintaining data integrity through encrypted algorithms & consent based sharing.
4) Open APIs for integration into AI models & frontier tech stacks like medical, defence etc.
5) Consent driven privacy (DPDP Act)
6) Universal Health IDs & digital records as part of health stack
7) Decentralised & open protocol network based logistics
8) Agriculture & IoT based interventions Eg:- Real Chili farmers of Guntur use AI based solutions.

Ensuring affordability
↳ Low cost APIs for integration
↳ Reducing input cost & enhancing productivity (IoT based farming & financial inclusion)
Accessible

Way forward
↳ AI models like Krutrim, Bhashini require VGF & huge investments for commercial usability.
↳ PLI type scheme for commoditizing AI models for indigenous markets.
↳ Bolstering AI stack using 'make in India'
↳ Plug N Play IT-AI tech parks to spur R&D and innovation.

Your answer demonstrates good awareness of AI applications and DPI components with relevant examples like Bhashini and Guntur farmers. However, the core distinction between frontier AI models and commoditized AI as DPI—the question's central demand—needs stronger articulation throughout, particularly explaining HOW the DPI approach delivers affordability, accessibility, and inclusivity differently.
The advent of frontier AI models has potential to unlock the latent AI usage; however unless AI is commoditised as DPI, aim of affordable, accessible & inclusive AI domain will be far fetched.
