Union Health Ministry launches e-Sushrut@Clinic, an affordable C-DAC-developed digital management system, to revolutionize small outpatient clinics' efficiency and patient care.
The Union Health Ministry is set to launch e-Sushrut@Clinic, an affordable digital management system for small outpatient clinics.
Developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), it is a lightweight Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda will launch the system on June 29.
The system aims to provide a simple, user-friendly, and affordable digital solution for small clinics, primary health centers, and sub-centers.
It will cost ₹299 per month for five users after a discount, with the first three months offered free.
Over 800 health facilities are already onboarded, generating more than 680 health records.

Detailed Insights:
e-Sushrut@Clinic addresses the challenges faced by small clinics due to manual processes and the high cost and complexity of existing large HMIS solutions.
It is a cloud-based platform designed to simplify tasks such as patient registration, billing, and management information system (MIS) reporting.
The system also incorporates features like speech-to-text documentation and clinical decision support, requiring minimal technical expertise from clinic staff.
This initiative is a lighter version of C-DAC's flagship e-Sushrut software, which is already implemented in over 15 AIIMS and various state government hospitals.
The National Health Authority (NHA) and C-DAC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for its rollout, with NHA providing financial and operational support.
The platform integrates key features of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), including Health Professional Registry (HPR) and Health Facility Registry (HFR).
C-DAC will be responsible for the software's maintenance and upgrades, while NHA will cover cloud hosting expenses and patient SMS notifications.
