Panchayat Development Index

Key Highlights:

• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj developed the Panchayat Development Index (PAI) to assess Gram Panchayats on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).
• PAI 2.0 for FY 2023-24 onboarded 2.59 Lakh Gram Panchayats across 33 States/UTs for performance evaluation.
