Jain philosophy maintains that the universe is eternal (Sasvata) and uncreated, explicitly rejecting the concept of a creator deity. The world is maintained by a Universal Law (natural order) through the interaction of six eternal substances (Dravyas): Jiva (soul), Pudgala (matter), Dharma (principle of motion), Adharma (principle of rest), Akasha (space), and Kala (time). These substances are uncreated and indestructible, and their constant interaction governs the functioning of the cosmos without any divine intervention. This natural order ensures that the universe exists and operates according to its own internal laws.
