One truth every topper agrees on is that NCERTs are the foundation of UPSC preparation. NCERTs provide the most reliable, conceptually clear and exam-relevant content to begin with. These books are written in simple language and are build from basics by the top experts (scientists & researchers) in the country.

Still Confused?

We’ve got answers, no negative marking here

What exactly will I get in the NCERT initiative?

You’ll get daily classes - recorded and LIVE with daily MCQ practice and simple Mains question per topic, access to exclusive Telegram community to make your foundations strong for UPSC 2026/27

What if I miss a day? Will I fall behind?

Not at all. You can complete the targets at your pace. But consistency will help you build habits — and badges will reward your streaks.

Will it cover all NCERTs from Class 6 to 12?

No, you don’t need to read all NCERTs from Class 6 to 12. In fact, a large portion of Physics, Chemistry, and even Biology — especially in Class 9th to 12th — is not directly relevant for UPSC.
What UPSC actually tests is whether you have the scientific awareness of a well-informed citizen — not definitions or formulas. For example:
  • It won’t ask you Newton’s laws or the formula for momentum.
  • But it may ask you practical applications like:
    • Why bearings or grease reduce friction.
    • What causes a mirage (Total Internal Reflection).
    • How optical fibres help in communication.
    • Reasons behind epidemics and immunity basics.

Similarly in History as well, not every NCERT chapter is useful.
In this NCERT initiative, we’ve carefully selected the most useful chapters from Polity, History, Environment, and Science & Technology — based on PYQs and syllabus mapping — so that you focus only on what really matters, without wasting time on less relevant portions.

Is this helpful for UPSC Mains too, or just Prelims?

This will help with both. The MCQs build your factual clarity for Prelims, and the daily Mains questions will train your answer-writing mindset from Day 1

I’m preparing for UPSC 2027. Should I join?

Yes, and it’s the best place to start. Whether you’re preparing for 2026 or 2027, this will build your base and give you clarity on what lies ahead.
