Tripura cultivates Queen and Kew pineapple varieties across 11,698 hectares, yielding 1.71 lakh MT annually.
Since 2018-19, Tripura has exported 33.10 MT of fresh pineapples to UAE and Bangladesh, and 74 MT of canned pineapple to Germany and Russia.
