The RSVC-AMRIT platform was launched by the Principal Scientific Adviser, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, on 15th August 2025.
Developed by NABARD in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (OPSA).
The platform aims to strengthen rural innovation, facilitate technology transfer, and enable wider adoption of appropriate technologies in rural areas.
AMRIT serves as the digital backbone for the RuTAGe Smart Village Centre (RSVC) ecosystem.
Detailed Insights:
AMRIT is designed as a comprehensive digital ecosystem supporting the entire RSVC lifecycle, from technology discovery to deployment tracking.
It will progressively bring together innovators, technology providers, startups, funding agencies, academic institutions, and rural communities on a shared platform.
The platform addresses the challenge of connecting appropriate technologies with specific rural needs, bridging a critical gap in technology dissemination.
The RSVC initiative facilitates the transfer of affordable technologies from research institutions to rural communities across sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, and education.
AMRIT is expected to evolve into a national repository of rural innovations, technologies, and best practices, supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
NABARD is committed to supporting RSVCs across the country, including through collaborations with corporates via CSR initiatives and NABFOUNDATION as an implementation partner.
