Parliament Question: Mission Karmayogi & iGOT Digital Capacity Building
Mission Karmayogi's iGOT platform rapidly expands, onboarding all states/UTs, integrating AI for civil services capacity building, linking training to annual appraisals.
Mission Karmayogi, the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), was approved in September 2020 to transition to 'role-based' HR systems.
The iGOT Karmayogi platform has onboarded all Union Ministries/Departments and all States/UTs, with tripartite MoUs signed with 30 States and UTs.
The platform currently hosts over 1.70 crore registered users and offers more than 5600 courses in 23 Indian languages.
It includes 218 courses on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, recording over 7.3 crore enrolments.
From 2025-26, completion of prescribed iGOT courses will be mandatory for Central Government employees and All India Services (AIS) officers, linked to their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR).
Detailed Insights:
Mission Karmayogi aims to create civil servants with a global outlook while being rooted in Indian ethos.
The rapid expansion of the iGOT Karmayogi platform ensures wide accessibility and alignment with regional and linguistic needs across India.
